    The Italian-Brazilian tenor Giovanni Tristacci has been pointed out by the specialized critique as one the new great talents of the Brazilian operatic scene, with great success in the lyric tenor repertoire.In in the last 2017/2018 seasin he was “Kudrjas” in Katya Kabanova (Janacek), under music direction of Ira levin; "Tamino", in Zauberflöte (Mozart), under music direction  of Roberto Minczuk; "Candide", in Candide (Bernstein) under direction of José Alejandro Rocca and stage direct by Joan Anton Rechi, “Leandro”, in Arlechino (Busoni), under direction of Ira Levin and “Jaquino”, in Fidelio (Beethoven); in 2016 he was "Roméo" in Roméo et Juliette (Gounod), in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, achieving great success of public and critique under direction of Silvio Viegas. He also sang "Ernesto", in Don Pasquale (Donizetti), in Porto Alegre.

    In 2015, he was "Don Gerome" in Bethrotal in a Monastery (Prokofiev), under musical direction of Luiz Fernando Malheiro/Andre dos Santos and stage direction by Bruno Berga-Gorsky, once more with great success of critique and public, earning him a nomination for Brazilian’s Concerto Magazine’s Prize. In the same year, he sang "The Prince" at the revival of “A Menina das Nuvens”, in Rio de Janeiro’s Theatro Municipal. In past productions, he achieved great success in the production of Rigoletto (Verdi), when he sang the "Duke", in Belo Horizonte (2014), and two years earlier, in the same city, "Camille de Rossilion", in Léhar’s “Die lustige Witwe”. In 2012/2013 he sang "Tamino" at Manaus Opera Festival in a new Robert Driver production of  Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), and a few months later he was "Narraboth" in Salomé (R. Strauss), in Belém (Brazil).

    Thanks to a scholarship provided by Fundación Carolina, he studied under Eduard Gimenez guidance, at Concervatorio el Liceo, in Barcelona ( 2009/2010). In 2010 he was admitted to the Centro de Perfeccionamento Placido Domingo in Valencia, under the direction of Alberto Zedda. After that, he was accepted into the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elizabeth (Belgium), and studied under José van Dam and Jocelyne Dienst (2011-2013). Bachelor in music by the University of  Rio de Janeiro, Tristacci also studied for five years with tenor Eduardo Alvares. He currently studies with Isabel Maresca in São Paulo.

   Giovanni Tristacci often appears in programs of Symphonic and Chamber Music. He has worked with great Musical directors in Brazil and Europe, such as Luiz Fernando Malheiro (Brazil), Alberto Zedda (Italy), Roberto Minczuck (Brazil), Theodor Guschlbauer (Austria), Patrick Fourniller (France), John Neschling (Brazil), Christopher Warren Green (England), among others.
